We’re committed to raising awareness of the risks of persistent heartburn, encouraging early diagnosis, and supporting those living with reflux, Barrett’s oesophagus, and oesophageal cancer. Through trusted information, advocacy, and research, we’re here to make a difference.
We are Changing Outcomes Through Awareness and Action.
Heartburn (reflux or indigestion) is a burning sensation behind the breast bone. You may also experience a sour taste, sore throat, hiccups and difficulty swallowing.
Barrett’s oesophagus is a ‘potentially precancerous condition’ where cells in your oesophagus (food pipe/gullet) have become ‘abnormal’ & are at risk of turning into cancer.
Oesophageal cancer is when abnormal cells in the oesophagus (food pipe/gullet) grow in an uncontrolled way. Symptoms can include heartburn, difficulty swallowing & weight loss.Â
